The 2025 Air is the M3 year. The previous Air is M2. Both are landscape-camera tablets with thin bezels. Buyers who only check the front will pay the wrong sticker and still hit the lock. Read the model name in Settings if you can, or the fine print on the back next to the larger serial. If you actually hold last year's Air, use iPad Air M2 locked to owner.
- The title says M3. The box or the back line says M2, or the reverse.
- The seller refuses a live erase that continues past the country screen.
- The large back serial is covered by a case they will not remove.
- The price is an M2 number with an M3 headline, or an M3 number on a locked unit.
The 2025 Air still uses the same Apple lock
New chip year does not create a new unlock channel. If you can reach the owner, they remove this Air in iCloud Find. Apple's overview is HT201365. Shop codes do not write that database.
Do not confuse the new Air with M4 Pro
